On October 15, we celebrate White Cane Awareness Day. We celebrate the right of blind people to move freely and independently with cane or guide dog, which is affirmed by White Cane laws in all fifty states. For blind people, the white cane is an essential tool that gives us the ability to achieve a full and independent life.
